What's
Included
|
- a powered anode
- pipe-thread seal tape
- instructions
- 3/4-inch galvanized steel tee
- one 3/4-inch galvanized steel nipple
- one 3/4-inch plastic-lined galvanized steel nipple
This replaces
the combo anode that came with your tank. Fits all heaters with
3/4-inch ports. This is for use with some Bradford Whites, A.O.
Smiths and States.

|
What
Does It Do?
|
|
The anode
will keep your tank from rusting and breaking, while alleviating
odor problems because of anaerobic bacteria found in some water
that react with regular magnesium or aluminum anodes to produce
hydrogen sulfide gas and a rotten-egg odor. Manufacturer says
this product will last 50 years.
If you
have a vacation cabin where the water heater sits idle, it
may be that, no matter what anode you put in it, the water will
still smell bad. We don't want you to buy a powered anode
if it won't solve your problem. You might do better to replumb
your water heater to allow hydrogen peroxide to easily be added.
That WILL solve the problem. Click here

Tools
Needed
|
| A

Important:
Before You Order
|
|
This anode
must replace the one that came with the tank or the smell won't
go away.
If you have
a power-vent heater, check the location of the anode to see if
the power anode will get in the way of the power-vent housing.
If you
have any doubts about what you're ordering, be sure and e-mail
your questions to us. We want you to order only what you need!
